Successful Kerry Walsh Trust Golf Day Raises R59 000
The Kerry Walsh Trust recently hosted a highly successful Golf Day at Wanderers Golf Club, bringing together players, sponsors, donors, family, and friends for a memorable day filled with generosity, community spirit, and plenty of fun.
This year’s event was particularly special, as it marked the first time that Kerry had taken on the responsibility of organising almost the entire event herself. Months of planning, countless emails, and the incredible support of volunteers and supporters all came together to create a truly outstanding day.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of everyone involved, the event raised approximately R59 000, which will go towards helping Kerry maintain her independence and meet the ongoing costs associated with living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). These expenses include essential equipment, wheelchair batteries, patient lifts, and future access to treatment and medication.
The success of the day would not have been possible without the support of the golfers who participated, the sponsors who invested in the event, the businesses and individuals who donated prizes and raffle items, and the many friends and family members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
The Kerry Walsh Trust extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the day such an incredible success. Your kindness and support continue to make a meaningful difference and remind us that we are surrounded by an amazing community.
We are excited about future fundraising events and look forward to continuing this journey together. Thank you for helping us create hope, independence, and opportunities for the future.
From all of us at the Kerry Walsh Trust – thank you for being part of something truly special.
